The immigration debate is already emotionally charged and colored enough by political rhetoric on each side. We don’t need groups like the Heritage Foundation throwing gasoline on the fire. We don’t need studies grounded in racist and wrong philosophies.
Will tonight’s “town hall” between President Obama and Governor Romney be produced by the people and for the people? Absolutely not. Rick Santorum has painted himself as a candidate disadvantaged by the news media, but the reality couldn’t be further from the truth. The only reason Rick Santorum has a fighting chance is because of the news media. Outspent by Mitt Romney, Santorum has lost the money battle but stayed competitive by winning the media battle. The media has been the great equalizer and, in Rick Santorum’s case, his savior.
